CLIMATE WEEK NYC 2024

Climate Week NYC, the largest annual climate-focused event of its kind, features over 600 in-person, hybrid, and online events across New York City. This year’s event will take place from September 22-29, 2024, in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly and in coordination with the City of New York.

Every year, Climate Week NYC brings together a diverse group of speakers and participants, including business leaders, political figures, local decision-makers, and civil society representatives from across the globe. Their collective goal is to accelerate climate action and showcase the progress already being made.

Organized by the international non-profit Climate Group, the official program for Climate Week NYC features prominent international figures from business, government, and the climate sector. Climate Week’s Opening Ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 22 and will feature major announcements, discussions, and interviews.

The theme of Climate Week NYC is urgency. Although investment in clean energy and net zero technologies is higher than ever, 2024 started out warmer than ever recorded, following a year that already broke through the annual average 1.5-degree C mark. People and companies are waking up to the fact that action is needed now, as the effects of climate change manifest themselves around them.
